Case Study: Washington County Service Providers

Washington County Service Providers (WCSP) needed to develop a new solution for providing a service provider listing to organizations and the community in general. Previously, a directory was printed and distributed once a year. But, typically, the information in the directory was out-of-date by the time it was actually printed and the number of directories available were limited. Plus, the project required considerable work by the volunteer organization.

Resourciv recommended and then developed a self managed website that would include listings of any service provider in the county, with the ability for member organizations to make changes online. Launched in the Spring of 2004, WCSP and Resourciv later expanded the site to include a self-managed Community Board listing upcoming events and volunteer opportunities, allowing participating organizations to post listings directly to the site.
