children who, for a variety of reasons, need a special friend. Children
are 6 to 14 years of age and can benefit from having a special friend,
mentor and role model. Volunteers are caring adults at least 16 years
of age with a valid driver’s license who enjoy spending time with
a child. Volunteers are screened, interviewed, trained and if accepted,
are matched with a child by a professional staff member. The program
is free to clients and volunteers. |
